The values that govern our work
Causes
We don't run vague campaigns. Each program has an implementing partner, a concrete cost, and a defined community it serves.
A charitable hospital providing free healthcare to deserving patients and affordable care for low- and middle-income families. HFUSA funds free care, infrastructure, free medical and eye camps across lower Sindh, and US doctor visits with telemedicine.
Tharparkar district faces a severe potable-water shortage under near-drought conditions. With Kawish Welfare Trust, we fund deep wells and hand pumps for impoverished communities.
Pehli Kiran Schools in Islamabad run 8 schools serving 2,500+ students from transient communities and katchi abadis. Rabia Sharif School in Faisalabad educates 170 rural children at $80 per child per year.
With Hyderabad Relief and Rehabilitation Trust: food rations plus rent and utility-bill assistance for families who lost earnings. Emergency response has included Pakistan Floods Relief 2025 and Turkiye Earthquake Relief.
Through FEED in Hyderabad, India: the Dr. Shahida Asad Scholarship for medical and professional education, and the HFUSA Scholarship for law, history, social sciences, and journalism — awarded purely on need and merit through a transparent process.
Startup and professional support with employment linkages for deserving people. Plus the planned Hyderabad Research Institute: satellite programs in Hyderabad and Karachi on the culture and history of Hyderabad and the subcontinent, with libraries promoting harmony across South Asia.
How Your Donation Flows
HFUSA holds no offices abroad and pays no salaries. Funds move from donors to established, vetted organizations already working on the ground — which is how overhead stays under one percent.
Donations to HFUSA, a Delaware-registered 501(c)(3) public charity, are tax-deductible under IRC Section 170 and may be designated as zakat.
An all-volunteer board — no employees, no compensation — allocates funds to specific programs. Overhead stays under 1% of donations.
More than 99% of donations reach recipients through implementing partners with decades of local operating history.
Leadership & Governance
HFUSA is governed by a volunteer board that receives no compensation of any kind. Regional representatives across Virginia, Minnesota, California, Texas, Ohio, and Massachusetts connect donor communities to the work.
