Our Mission

The Causes

Three stories we return to, year after year.

Long partnerships with trusted institutions on the ground — not one-off projects.

Osmania Hospital, Karachi
Osmania Hospital, Karachi — established 1950 by the Hyderabad Relief and Rehabilitation Trust.
No. 1 — Healthcare

Seventy-five years of Osmania Hospital

A charitable hospital in Karachi serving thousands of patients each year — free care for deserving patients, affordable care for low- and middle-income families.

HFUSA funds free treatment and infrastructure, free medical and eye camps in lower Sindh, and visits and telemedicine from doctors in the United States.

No. 2 — Clean Water

Saafpani: water where there is almost none

Tharparkar district faces a severe shortage of potable water in near-drought conditions. With our partner Kawish Welfare Trust, we build deep wells and hand pumps for impoverished communities — clean drinking water, close to home.

Students in a classroom
In the classroom — Pehli Kiran Schools serve 2,500+ students from Islamabad's transient communities.
No. 3 — Education

A first ray of light: K-12 for children who'd otherwise miss it

The eight Pehli Kiran Schools in Islamabad educate more than 2,500 students from transient communities and katchi abadis. In Faisalabad, the Rabia Sharif School gives 170 rural children an elementary and secondary education.

Higher-education scholarships in Hyderabad, India — awarded purely on need and merit — carry students on into medicine, law, journalism, and the social sciences.

And where the need is urgent —

Feed The Poor

Food rations, rent, and utility-bill assistance for families who lost their earnings, with the Hyderabad Relief and Rehabilitation Trust.

Emergency Relief

Rapid response when disaster strikes — Pakistan Floods Relief 2025 and Turkiye Earthquake Relief.

Poverty Alleviation

Startup and profession support for deserving people, and linkages to employment.

Hyderabad Research Institute

Planned research programs and libraries on the culture and history of Hyderabad and the subcontinent, promoting harmony across South Asia.

A Giving Moment

$100 sends one child to school for a whole year.

Not a metaphor — the actual cost of a year at a Pehli Kiran School in Islamabad. At the Rabia Sharif School in Faisalabad, it's $80. One gift, one child, one year of classrooms instead of streets.

Because the foundation runs on volunteers with under 1% overhead, your hundred dollars arrives as very nearly a hundred dollars.

Get Involved

Run entirely by volunteers. Including everyone you'll ever meet here.
